<h3>Scope Description:</h3><p>Review federal grants received by common education by program, purpose, and amount. Present federally grant-funded programs as a percent of total education spending for Pre-K through 12, historical to current levels.</p><h3>Evaluation Objectives:</h3><p>This evaluation will be guided by four key objectives within the scope set forth by the Legislative Oversight Committee:&nbsp;</p><p>1.&nbsp;Determine the current and historical percentage share of federal funds relative to total SDE funding.</p><p>2.&nbsp;Identify grants by program, purpose, and type of grant, to include any restrictions or State matching requirements.&nbsp;</p><p>3.&nbsp;Examine the application process for federal grants, as well as SDE’s role in authorizing or distributing federal grants to school districts.</p><p>4.&nbsp;Examine the administrative requirements and cost of accepting federal grants.</p>
